Bergen, the artist village located on the edge of the dunes and near the sea, has attracted artists and other creatives for decades. Several galleries and studios can be found, where you can enjoy paintings, sculptures and other works of art by local artists.
In addition to the art, there is plenty to do in Bergen itself. The village has a cozy atmosphere and offers numerous nice stores, restaurants and terraces. Nature is also beautiful here: you can enjoy hiking and biking in the dunes or along the beach.

ALKMAAR
The cheese city of the Netherlands
Alkmaar has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages and is filled with beautiful architecture and picturesque canals that wind through the city.
One of the city's most striking sights is the famous cheese market. Here you will find the traditional cheese carriers who have been carrying cheese from one side of the market to the other for centuries.
The cheese market in Alkmaar is every Friday morning from March 31 to September 29 from 10.00-13.00 hours. In addition, evening cheese markets are organized again: every Tuesday evening in July and August from 19.00-21.00 hrs. Around the market a cozy craft market/braderie is always organized.

EGMOND ON SEA
The Idyllic village that has everything
Egmond has a beautiful natural area where you can enjoy hiking and biking. The dune landscape is unique and offers an impressive view of the sea.
The village has a cozy center with nice stores, cozy cafes and good restaurants. Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee, an ice cream or a delicious meal. And if you like to eat fish, you have come to the right place. The fresh fish is brought here daily and is of excellent quality.
