GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RENTING (E)BICKS
The rental conditions for bicycle companies apply to the rental of (electric/bakery) bicycles. These General Terms and Conditions of BOVAG Bicycle Companies have been drawn up in consultation with the Consumers' Association and the ANWB within the framework of the SER Coordination Group Self-Regulation Consultation (CZ) and come into force as of May 1, 2016. DIFFERENT PROVISIONS:
Art. 4: Dissolution is not applicable and does not apply;
Art. 14 paragraphs 3&6: It is not allowed to make any repairs to the rented property without the landlord's permission;

MAIN RENTAL CONDITIONS

  • The renter is liable for damage to the rented bicycle and will reimburse both repair costs and necessary replacement of damaged parts;
  • The excess for damage or theft is a maximum of €150 for a city bike, €300 for an e-bike and €500 for an Urban Arrow.
  • The lessee is obliged to report damage and/or loss to the lessor as soon as possible;
  • Payment is made prior to the rental period;
  • The early return of the rented item does not entitle you to a refund;
  • Any premature return will still be subject to full rental;
  • If an agreement is cancelled by the tenant, the landlord may charge the full rental fee starting less than 24 hours before the day of rental;
  • The renter bears full legal liability for damages caused to third parties;
  • The rental period is from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m;
  • The renter is obliged to take good care of the bicycle:
    • The renter must always lock the bicycle
    • The battery should be charged according to the instructions
  • The rented property may not be used outside the designated roads and paths;
  • It is not permitted to make any repairs to the rented property without the landlord's permission;
  • Attaching your own bicycle accessories is not allowed;
  • It is not allowed to take persons on the back of a luggage carrier (except rented child seats);
  • The use of the bicycle is at your own risk. The landlord is not liable for damage made by means of the rented;
  • The landlord is entitled to confiscate the rented property for alleged abuse;

All disputes arising from the rental agreements shall be governed exclusively by Dutch law. Furthermore, only a Dutch court is competent to take cognizance of these disputes.
